Foundation Basis of the Unit

In accordance with the Law No. 2495 on the Protection and Ensuring of Security of Certain Institutions and Organizations adopted on July 22, 1981, an application was made to the Governorship of Antalya on June 15, 1992 for the establishment of a Private Security Organization at Akdeniz University. With the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 26.02.1993 and numbered 059570, the Private Security Organization was established at our university with a guard and security staff of 51 people. Our unit, which was originally established in August 1995 with the start of 13 guards and security guards from Karabük Kardemir, which was privatized, continued its establishment in 1996 with the start of 38 people who were taken through the exam.
